Our cover photo shows Bill Konkle from Arizona on a bitterly cold January catfishing excursion on the Tennessee River. Bill is the father of Capt. Ty Konkle, well-known to many CatfishNOW readers. Capt. Konkle is a hardcore trophy catfish angler and occasional guide who has boated multiple triple-digit catfish, including one day when his clients caught TWO catfish that weighed more than 100 pounds each. Building a Bigger, Better Magazine

It is hard to believe that another year is almost in the books. It seems as I get older and fill up my calendar with all the fishing related things I do, time just evaporates. As it pertains to the CatfishNOW virtual world, the team and you, the reader/watcher, have seen an explosion of quick and easy content this year. The result, our reach to more of you has doubled over the last year.

Expanding our content and its availability for both the fisher person and the industry sponsor is a win-win. We doubled our social media team, increased our channels, and analyzed and targeted feature articles, videos and reels to teach everyone on the move in their daily lives. We applied the K. I. S. (Keep It Simple) approach. We bridged products to techniques that anyone can use, especially for the recreational angler.

We held a media camp on Grenada Lake in Mississippi this year where we brought top media and anglers together in a super location to build as many videos, reels, pictures and feature articles as possible. Over 400 videos and reels were produced, 1,000 edited pictures and numerous articles and various topics that included Grenada destination content.

Building relationships with the National Professional Anglers Association and Professional Crappie Anglers United has given us other sources of content. We trade content and help set the stage for professional memberships and personal growth. It has also set the stage for family and child involvement.

But, most importantly, we listened to you. By trying various channels with varying types of content, we learned and listened to your comments and learned from data analysis what worked and what did not. We want to continue on this path as more channels evolve and ways like AI help us produce more content for you and improve your fishing experience and results.

With the celebration of Christ’s birth this month, I hope everyone enjoys the celebration of it and of family and friends. We wish each and every one of you a blessed Christmas and safe travels.

God Bless and Good Fishing!
