Catfish Gear #016 — SeaArk Boats

Catfish Gear #016 — SeaArk Boats

Described by some as the Cadillac of catfish boats, SeaArk Boats have set the pace for catfish anglers everywhere. They have over 58 years of experience in boat building and it shows. Their heavy-duty aluminum boats are the choice of many catfish anglers.

Melinda demonstrates how roomy and comfortable her new EasyCat is.

The company makes many different models and each can be customized to an individual’s preferences and fishing style. Add on any of 48 available options and accessories to create the boat you want, for fishing the way you want. The choice is yours.

Tabitha Linville and Justin Conner have been fishing from a SeaArk since 2012. Until recently they operate their Catfishing Duo Guides Service out of a ProCat 240. As of March 2019, their guests are riding in absolute comfort in a brand new 26-foot EasyCat.

The full enclosure keeps everyone comfy, even in the coldest of weather.

The Easy Cat is the perfect combination of two of SeaArk’s best-selling boats. It combines the 80-gallon rear livewell of the ProCat and the lounge seating of an Easy to create the perfect family fishing boat. Add your own options to make it your own.

“We have the SeaArk Easy Cat,” said Tabitha Linville. “It’s 26 feet long with a 300 hp Suzuki. We picked the black and green color scheme with the amped package that we love!”

The Catfishing Duo’s EasyCat has the bright green on the chairs, rails, steering wheel and wheels of the trailer. The front features the couches, a large self-draining front deck with the raised lip, and a 25-gallon livewell and an anchor locker.

“The back is the same as the ProCat,” explained Tabitha. It has  the double console and the walkthrough windshield. It also has the captain chairs for comfort, the rod lockers for storage, and the 80-gallon livewell needed for trophy catfish.”

All these features make it comfortable,” continued Tabitha. “Especially with all the fishing we do. With our fish-cations (her word for vacations) we stay on the water a week at a time. The double Bimini tops and full enclosure with zip down windows and screens keeps us comfortable and out of the elements. There is plenty of room to sleep in the front on the couches, but also room to continue fishing in the back.”

There are tons of places to store things on the EasyCat. The couches, the dash, and the rod lockers all provide convenient storage. Tabitha and Justin choose black and green Monster Rod Holders to match their boat. And, a stereo so they can listen to music.

“We also added the Hummingbird Solix 15 and paired it with the Minnkota,” concluded Tabitha. “It is awesome the way they pair together. We can map on the fish finder where we want the trolling motor to drive and it will drive the boat down that path. We don’t have to worry about trying to steer with the remote while pulling planer boards. We can just concentrate on catching fish. We love everything about the EasyCat and can’t wait to catch many catfish on it!”
