He believes that it is in the cockpit, with the sonar, that the magic happens. He wants the clearest picture he can get to help determine his next fishing location.
Souder’s secret is to use a dedicate battery for sonar units. He uses a Humminbird Helix and a Lowrance. The two units are hooked directly to a battery exclusively used for that purpose. No other accessories are powered off of that battery.
According to Souders, straight power from a battery to the sonar will give you zero interference. You will get the clearest picture possible and it should help put more catfish in the boat.
