Catfish Connections

Tournament Time

The month of March is usually characterized by the start of many catfish tournaments across the country. January and February had a few but March will see the tournaments in abundance. Anglers should be able to find a tournament to fish most weekends.

With tournament season in full swing, anglers from every skill level will be hitting the water with competition in mind. For seasoned anglers, tournaments become very routine. For newbies, they have a lot to learn. Fortunately, the catfish community is an accepting community and welcomes new anglers to the fun of tournament catfishing.

CatfishNOW has dedicated the March 2022 issue to tournament fishing. Stories about hiring a guide to fish a tournament, the importance of teamwork in tournament fishing, current information on electronics, tournament fish care, and some unusual catfish trivia will both educate and entertain.

Additionally, you will find our regular columns, River Rumors, Why We Catfish, Catfish Basics, Catfish Gear, and Video Tips to improve your success in tournaments or fishing in general. We hope you enjoy this issue and share it with your friends.

As always, I wish to thank the sponsors that support us. Because of them, we can offer the contents of CFN to our readers free of charge. I hope you will help us thank them by considering their products when you are in the market for catfishing supplies.

Fish with passion!
