A Big Board for Big Cats
Sometimes bigger is better. When you want to pull heavy baits for big catfish, Off Shore Tackle’s OR37 SST Pro Mag planer will not disappoint. This planer will pull heavier weights than any other inline board on the market.
It is the most versatile planer board available, allowing the angler to choose many different configurations depending on the situation. It comes rigged with the OR16 on the back, (the original red release with the pin in the center) and the adjustable tension OR18 Snapper release on the front arm.
The OR37 can be set to trip, which releases the line from the front release with a snap of the rod tip and allows you to bring the board in with less resistance. The OR16 clip on the back can be replaced with a heavy-duty snap swivel (sold separately) to allow the line to slide freely through it and the board to float on the surface. If you don’t wish to trip the board, you can flip the cam on the OR18 the other way and it will lock it in place on the line. With the line behind the pin on the OR16 on the back of the board, it will stay attached to the line even if the front release is tripped.
The OR37 SST Pro Mag Planer is ideal in many situations where you want your lines spread out from the boat. They work great when you’re dragging baits. You can also use it to cover much more water when you’re anchored in current.
