Boss Kat Sabiki Rigs Put More Bait in Your Tank
Sabiki rigs, sometimes called piscator rigs, are great tools to use when you want to catch your own skipjacks, shad and other baitfish. These are pre-tied rigs with a main line from which several drop lines are attached. At the end of each drop line is a small lure with a tiny hook and a body made of feathers or plastic. A snap at the main line’s end provides a place to connect a sinker so the rig can be dropped quickly to the bottom. The other end (the top) has a swivel where you connect the line from your reel.
If you drop a sabiki rig beneath the surface near shad or skipjacks, the baitfish are quick to strike the tiny lures, and it’s not unusual to bring up three or four baitfish at once, sometimes more.
Boss Kat sabiki rigs provide a six-hook spread as opposed to the traditional five-hook spread. This means more chances for catching baitfish quickly. The Boss Red hooks trigger the feeding response to initiate more strikes.
Each rig is assembled with a 20-pound-test main line, 16-pound drop lines and a top-quality snap and swivel. They come in two colors, Glow Head Rainbow Skin and Glow Head White Skin. The “one-pull” packaging allows for fast use without tangles.
Boss Kat sabiki rigs come one rig per pack in sizes 10, 8, 6 and 4. Each rig sells for around $3.50.
