The CatMasters Day One at Decatur

Anthony Murphy, Brant Bullock, and Mike Tomas Take Top Spot at Decatur on Day One of CatMasters

Donnie and Lonnie Fountain hold down the runner-up spot after one day of fishing at CatMasters event.

Two hundred six anglers representing 91 teams launched at various public boat ramps on Wheeler Lake to fish Wheeler, Wilson, and Guntersville Lakes in Northern Alabama. Plenty of big fish came to the scales with the top ten teams weighing more than 100 pounds in 3 fish. The top 31 teams weighed 60 pounds or more and many anglers are in the right spot for the Saturday Shoot Out,

Day One Results

Catfish, tournament, blue cat, flathead, channel cat, CPR, fish care, The CatMasters, Wheeler Lake, Decatur, Alabama, Bryan St. Alma, Jeremy Busby, Ty Lee Nall, James Milton, Jesse Swan, Anthony Murphy, Brant Bullock, Mike Tomas, Donnie Fountain, Lewis Miller, Jason Arrington,First Place and Big Fish — Anthony Murphy, Brant Bullock, and Mike Tomas with 179.31 in 3-fish. They also have Big Fish for Day 1 at 85.54.

Second Place — Donnie and Lonnie Fountain claimed the runner-up spot on day one with 130.38 pounds.

Their bag included a 67.60-pound blue that was Arrington’s new personal best. pictured above.

The competition begins again Saturday morning with lines in the water at 7:00 am and fishing ends at 3:00 pm. All boats must be in line by 4:30 pm or inside Harbor if using Ingalls Boat Ramp.

The day-two weigh-in will be streamed live from Ingalls Harbor in Decatur, AL beginning about 3:45 pm CST on The CatMasters Facebook page.
